Car Puja is a common Hindu practice. In Hindu culture we tend to
worship or bless every new tool or instrument before we start using it.
It could be anything from a Television set to vehicles. Essentially, in
this Puja, a new car is blessed so that it comes in harmony to a home

A Vehicle Puja is generally done when you buy a new car. Apart from
this, it can also be done during festivals like Navratri, Dhanteras,
Akshaya Tritiya, Gudi Padwa, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Bhai-Dooj; as these
occasions are considered to be a good time to buy a car.

Like any other puja, the devotee has to have a bath and put on clean
The car then needs to be washed, after which a little haldi water is
sprinkled on it
The Om Vishnu mantra is chanted thrice
After this, the Om Shree Ganeshaya Namaha is chanted thrice
Incense, diya and flowers are kept on a plate and the Lord’s
blessings are sought, as one rotates the tray in front of the car seven
It ends by making a swastika sign with kumkum and haldi
