Homam is known by different names like Havan and Yajna. During Homam,
offerings are made into the fire to invoke a deity in order to get one's
wishes fulfilled. Lord Ganesha is one of the most important Hindu
deities. He is the Son of the Destroyer Lord Shiva, and the Divine
Mother Goddess Parvati. No Puja is complete without paying respect to
Lord Ganesha. Additionally, it is performed to seek harmony, affluence,
and physical wellbeing. Homam performed for Lord Ganesha is known as the
Ganapathi Homam.
